Welcome to Harrington's Big Backyard

Walk Schedule

The Harrington Big Backyard Program uses nature walks to provide hands-on learning in science and social studies, while incorporating writing, math, and art - as well as the student's own natural curiosity skills. These walks were designed specifically for Harrington by naturalist Bev Morrison.

Observation, learning to ask good questions, problem solving, and respect for the natural environment are emphasized throughout the program.
