Volunteering

The Big backyard is made possible by the Harrrington PTA and its many volunteers! Won't you please consider helping out? All the necessary supplies are provided. And no experience is required!

Becoming a BBY volunteer is a wonderful way for parents to share in their child's education. Volunteers who become a walk leader lead 1-4 walks per year and are trained for their walks. Volunteers who want to work behind the scene may become a classroom representative, a grade coordinator, the chairperson or they may help out short term with special projects . Any time you can provide is always very appreciated!

Important note: All parents who work with children in the Big Backyard program must have submitted a CORI form and a picture ID to the Main Office at least 2 weeks before the actual classroom walks. CORI checks are good for 2 years, so if you have submitted a form within the last 2 years, you do not have to reapply.
